about

“Tight Sweater” was written in 2005 and was commissioned by ‘Real Quiet’ and the Muzik 3 Foundation. It is music that is tightly composed, with rapidly shifting patterns of notes and rhythms. Each one of the six movements explores relationships between the instruments, combining them in unique ways that each create vivid sound worlds. In 2010, saxophonist Jeffrey Heisler transcribed this work performing the original cello part on baritone saxophone.
