about

“Episodes” was originally written for violin and piano and premiered by Itzhak Perlman on February 21, 2004. In 2007, “Episodes” was transcribed for soprano saxophone and piano and reworked by the composer to fit the
characteristics of the saxophone. The work is a two-movement song and dance that accentuates the singing quality and natural agility of the saxophone. This work is dedicated to Jeffrey Heisler (who gave the world premiere of the saxophone version).
